Segregation of duties

Segregation of duties divides incompatible responsibilities so one person or system cannot initiate, approve, and conceal the same financial action.

Common separations include vendor creation versus payment approval, journal preparation versus posting approval, and purchasing versus receipt confirmation.

AI agents should inherit the same control principle through separate permissions and approval boundaries.
